Atletico beat Real at the Bernabeau yet again. That is Real's title challenge over then. Say what you like about Atlei's tactics but they have to be given credit for being competitive on a fraction of Barca and Reals budget. And how is it when I suggest Godin is the best defender in the world I am laughed out of the room? Guy is an absolute warrior.

Godin is a proper defender. Forget these stylish ball playing centre halves. I like my central defenders to push, pull, tackle, block and kick whatever goes near him and thats what Godin does. A real throwback.

It is ridiculous we should have a gamepass type of thing by now

was watching it and atletico or simeone really has mastered whatever it is he does, especially against real .... the unmovable object i heard it being referred to in the commentary.

and godin is a rock. been one of the most consistent and solid defenders in world football the past few years.

as much as i would like such a thing.

i'm guessing it would instead be TV driven and it would affect smaller clubs.

it seems like a fairly weird time for a La Liga game to take place.

.
How does sky/Bt showing live football really have any effect on the gates of lower league games, just an old excuse from the football league to keep football fans from been able to enjoy the same TV product that 90% of the world get.

live TV games still get high attendances and away fans still travel even with the option to watch on TV but we are still stuck with a rule thats outdated and surely about the FA's been part of a "syndicate",where are the EU looking at the anti-competetive with this "gentleman's agreement".

If ITV can show live rugby on free to air but sky cant show football behind its pay TV wall.

theres no real way to test it without a major impact and its not the PL teams that would suffer.

i suppose they could move all Prem games out of the slot if they really wanted them shown.

Spain and germany seem to have not real 3pm saturday fixture's with games just moved to allow the most tv revenue but would games on tv stop lower league attendance's,just feels like our FA's are a "cartel" protecting there product when its really anti-competetive.
