Might be a blessing in disguise if they can get into the top 4 (or is it 3 in Italy these days?) next season.

If you're going to get banned it's better to do it in a Europa League season than a Champions League one that's for sure.

by all accounts the new football director who might be the ex-gunner almost begged UEFA to ban them now so they can clear there FFP punishment now before they try to rebuild towards CL football and money.

Athletico Madrid splashing the cash and also making a nice profit on a player they only bought last summer with City triggering his buy-out.
