Default NFL Europe Player Salaries

Just wondering what sort of money do NFL Europe players get compared to NFL players.

Also, who pays the NFL Europe players? Is it their european teams or if they have been sent over by an NFL team do they then pay them?

They are paid by the NFL-E teams. NFL-E teams are funded by gate receipts, merchandise, media deals and by the NFL.

Good question by the way!

I presume they must top it up with sponsorship etc? I play in the BSL and if I were to be offered (not likely if you ask my teammates ) an NFLE contract, there is no way I could afford to drop wage to $13,500. I'd have to say no to a dream :'(

Um. That's not an annual salary.

That's for 5 (?) weeks of pre-season, 10 weeks of regular season and possibly the World Bowl - say 4-5 months total.

The rest of the year's your own to work or whatever.

The real benefit here isn't the wages it's NFL "type" exposure. Everyone knows the NFL team scouts will watch all the games and hope to make an impression. I know if my dream was to play in the NFL I'd pay them to let me play!

Don't forget that around 70% of NFLE players are on NFL rosters and will be getting payed a minimum of $230,000 a year, so for the 4-5 months they should get $100,000 ish more if they are a veteran as the NFL minimum wage increases with the number of years you have been in the league.
