Default Redskins go in wrong direction.

Go North you morons!

Redskins are having their training camp in Richmond, VA about 120 miles to the south.

In July and August, Washington is bad enough with the heat and humidity. Going to to Richmond will only be worse.

For a long time the team had camps 100 miles north in Carlisle, PA to beat the the heat, or they went west to Frostburg, MD up in the hills again to beat the heat.

Richmond in August? Ugggh

There's a thread in Extremeskins which asks whether the Redskins are becoming more of a Virginia-based team than a DC or Maryland team. Of course, they play in Maryland but in 10 years or so, the lease on FedEx Field expires. Many would love to see a new development on RFK land, or just a general return to DC.

On the other hand, I'm sure the training camp decision is based on financial incentives.
